Lester F. Aponte specializes in the representation and counseling of employers in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful termination, employment discrimination, wage and hour issues, harassment litigation and training, unfair competition, personnel policies, workplace investigations, and employee discipline and discharge. He also has developed substantial experience in defending discrimination and wage and hour class actions. Mr. Aponte has represented numerous employers, including several Fortune 500 companies, in employment discrimination and harassment lawsuits. He also has represented national restaurant chains, large retailers, distributors, and limousine companies in wage and hour class action suits. Prior to joining BPDZ&Y, Mr. Aponte was associated with two prominent national labor and employment firms. Mr. Aponte is a former Regional President of the Hispanic National Bar Association, as well as a former President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association of California and a Board Member of the Lesbian and Gay Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.

Mr. Aponte received his B.A. degree in Political Science from Haverford College in 1986. He received his J.D. degree from the Columbia University School of Law in 1989.
