Nadine Chang represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, and labor disputes. Ms. Chang has extensive experience in all phases of statewide wage and hour litigation, including class actions. Ms. Chang also advises clients on various wage and hour matters. For example, Ms. Chang prepared a detailed analysis of overtime exemption status of employees for a nationwide retail store. Ms. Chang also advises diverse clients on day-to-day employment matters (including terminations, disability accommodation issues, and harassment investigations) and speaks on a variety of different topics, including disability discrimination, retaliation and employee discipline. She also has facilitated numerous sexual harassment prevention and diversity training programs for both supervisory and non-supervisory personnel. Prior to joining BPDZ&Y, Ms. Chang practiced in the Labor and Employment Department of the international law firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
Ms. Chang recently was named a California Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in the field of employment and labor law, an honor awarded to just 2.5% of California attorneys based on a survey of all California lawyers.
Ms. Chang received her law degree from New York University School of Law in 1999, and her bachelor's degree from Stanford University in 1995. While in law school, Ms. Chang received the “Ann Petluck Poses Memorial Prize for Outstanding Clinical Work” and was a founding member of the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy, for which she also served as an article and note editor. |
