M. Saito practices labor and employment law, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, discrimination, unfair competition, business interference, contracts, trademark infringement, and trade secrets misappropriation. Ms. Saito has extensive experience in all phases of state and federal litigation from the inception of a case through mediation, arbitration, settlement, trial, and/or appeal. Her recent experience includes serving as second chair in a federal jury trial. Prior to joining BPDZ&Y, Ms. Saito was an associate in the Intellectual Property Litigation Department at the international firm of Pillsbury Winthrop LLP.
Ms. Saito recently was named a 2010 California Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in the field of employment and labor law, an honor awarded to just 2.5% of California attorneys based on a survey of all California lawyers. This is the third time she has been so honored.
Ms. Saito received her B.A. in 1992 from the University of California at Los Angeles, where she majored in Political Science, and received her law degree in 1996 from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While in law school, Ms. Saito served as judicial extern for the Honorable Marcus O. Tucker of the Los Angeles Superior Court and she received an American Jurisprudence Award in Business Associations. |
